The terrorists controlling areas of Aleppo have done a very Zionist-like thing: they’ve shut off the water supply to the over 2 billion civilians there. How is this at all “revolutionary”?

In a botched attempt to stop drinking water reaching government-held districts of Aleppo, rebels managed to cut off water supplies to large parts of the city in northern Syria including their own strongholds. Women and children are being forced to queue up with cooking pots, kettles and plastic bottles to get water from the fountains of mosques and wells that may be contaminated.
The water shortage started 10 days ago when the rebels, who control the two main pumping stations, tried to keep water flowing to their areas in east Aleppo, but stop it reaching the government-held west of the city.
People in both halves of the divided city have been forced to rely on ancient wells and fountains. In west Aleppo the Red Crescent and government agencies have provided some water but say it is not safe to drink over an extended period. Some trucks used for taking away waste water from houses are now selling drinking water likely to be contaminated.
A member of the Aleppo Water Department told the Beirut paper al-Akhbar that the Sharia Authority, which unites the rebel movements, controls a crucial pumping station in the Suleiman al-Halabi region. He said that there is a “danger of insurgents pumping water only to the neighbourhoods that they control as it might lead to the collapse of the integrated water system.

There is a true threat of mass deaths due to thirst. The UN have acknowledged the threat. The terrorists are selling an amount of chlorine held in a water tanker truck, for the purpose of cleaning dirty water, for $4,000 US dollars per truck. Slayman al Halabi is the name of the area which has the valves in it, and this area is in the hands of the terrorists. As we know, people can survive days without food, maybe even a month, but water is necessary for life. Organs shut down and even help too late can not save a life.”

Residents of Syria’s second city Aleppo have been without water for a week because Islamist fighters have cut supplies into rebel and regime-held areas, a monitoring group said on Saturday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the Al Qaeda affiliate Al Nusra Front had cut water supplies from a pump distributing to both the rebel-held east and government-held west of Aleppo.
Last month, opposition forces cut the electricity supply to regime-controlled areas of Aleppo and the surrounding countryside.
But the director of the Observatory, Rami Abdel Rahman said, the groups were unable to cut off water supplies to regime areas without also affecting rebel-held neighbourhoods, calling the move “a crime”.
Once home to about 2.5 million residents and considered Syria’s economic powerhouse, Aleppo has been divided between government and opposition control since shortly after fighting there began in mid-2012.
At least one million people have been displaced from the city since then by fighting and relentless regime aerial bombardments of rebel areas.
Opposition forces also regularly shell regime-held parts of the city in the west.
The Observatory said the week of water cuts had forced residents to queue at wells to collect water, and the Britain-based group warned that some people were drinking unclean water, risking a spread of disease.

Foreign-backed militants in Syria’s northern city of Aleppo have cut water supplies into the city, leaving residents without water for a week.
The al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front has reportedly cut water supplies into eastern part of the city, which is under the control of militants, and government-controlled west of the city.
The cut had forced people to queue in front of wells for collecting water, with reports saying that some people were drinking unclean water.
Militants also cut the electricity supply to government-held areas of the city and the nearby neighborhoods last month.
At least one million people have left Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, following the ongoing conflict in the Arab country.
Cutting off water supplies came as Syrian military forces have conducted a number of major operations around Aleppo in a bid to entirely drive the foreign-backed militants out of the area.
Military sources have reported steady advances by government forces in recent days while killing or injuring a large number of the militants.
On May 7, al-Nusra militants blocked a relief aid convoy from reaching the towns of Nubbul and al-Zahraa in Aleppo’s northern countryside.
Militants also launched rockets at Nubbul and al-Zahraa, targeting civilians who had gathered to receive aid packages.
