He discusses who’s to blame, why this is happening now, and the larger geopolitics at play. Draitser notes that Turkey has played a key role in both fomenting the war in Syria and stimulating and facilitating the flow of refugees. He notes that the US is tacitly, if not overtly, involved in this ongoing phenomenon. Draitser also explains that Russia is playing a key role in protecting Syria from a full-scale war to be lead by the US.
