The Washington Post said it had confirmed that Qataris had paid money to armed groups, based on letters from Qatari officials.

نشرت صحيفة "واشنطن بوست" الأميركية، السبت، رسائل حصرية مسربة تكشف أن قطر دفعت مبالغ طائلة بمئات ملايين الدولارات الى جماعات مسلحة في العراق. وبحسب ما نقله موقع "سكاي نيوز عربية"، فإن "ديبلوماسيا قطريا كبيرا بعث برسالة إلى رئيسه في شهر أبريل الماضي، أي في الشهر السادس عشر من اختطاف 25 قطريا، وقال فيها إن الدوحة تعرضت للسرقة".
وقالت "واشنطن بوست" إنها تأكدت من دفع القطريين أموالا لجماعات مسلحة، بناء على رسائل بين المسؤولين القطريين.
