Late last night, we ran that graphic up top as part of a post about the Republican wing of the Democratic Party and why the Dems are destined to fail miserably in November following the failed strategy of incompetent moron Steve Israel, Nancy Pelosi's biggest career error. Israel Democrats are using Republican talking points about balancing budgets, another nail in the coffin of whatever remained of the Democrats winning back the House-- or even staunching the bleeding. In all likelihood, the DCCC won't only fail to win back the House; they will lose more seats than they pick up. Steve Israel's brilliant strategy of making his Blue Dog/Center Aisle Caucus perspective the preeminent DCCC approach is toxic for normal (or "actual") Democrats. The Bernie Sanders' graphic is a counterbalance. But the Sanders approach-- much like the Alan Grayson and Elizabeth Warren approach-- is predicated on a kind of intellectual depth and ability to communicate with voters that hack politicians like Israel and his cronies and recruits do not possess… and will never possess. These are back room deal-makers and self-serving careerists, not statesmen or even just ideologues. That don't stand for anything except advancing their own miserable careers through Team Blue. Many of the Israel-types are just opportunistic Business shills; they can join the Republican Party at will (as so many Blue Dogs have) or, in the right situation, they can switch from Republican to Democrat, as Israel's preferred candidates have done so many times. So what about Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee for president in 2016? A lot of people feel comfortable with her; she;s a familiar name. And they feel confident they know who she is and what she stands for. And she's-- again-- a prohibitive frontrunner. But what does she stand for? Mario Trujillo, for The Hill yesterday, spoke with Sanders about why he is unsure about what kind of president Clinton would make. Bernie is just not sure.
"What is her agenda? I don't know. You don't know. She hasn't said," Sanders said… He said the United States does not anoint people to the presidency."She has accomplished a lot of very positive things in her career, but I'm not quite sure that the political process is one in which we anoint people,” Sanders said."I don't know that she is running, and I don't know what she will say if she runs," he said. "And I'm not running against Hillary Clinton. I'm telling you is this country has more serious problems today than any time since the great depression-- those are the real issues."
What we do know is that Wall Street loves her and appears more than willing to finance her campaign. As for Blue America… we have never endorsed in a presidential election. So far, there's never been anyone nominated we could get behind. But we do ask a question: Why settle? Why not go for the best among us?
