Syria calls on UN to condemn the shelling of Damascus by terrorists

On Friday, the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry of the Syrian government sent two letters to the head of the Security Council and the UN Secretary General, regarding the recent terrorist attacks on Damascus. The Minestery wrote that terrorists fired 115 rocket shells of varying sizes on Damascus, in addition to 6 on Latakia and 9 on Aleppo. The rocket shells struck civilian homes, schools and universities, claiming the lives of 26 civilians, including children, women and elderly civilians.
The letters reported thae terrorists Zahran Alloush, who heads the so called Islam Army which is being funded and supported by Saudi Arabia and some Western countries, stated on Februar the 3d, 2015, on social media that: ”All of Damascus is a military zone and a theatre of operations” and calling on “civilians, members of diplomatic missions, and school and university students to not approach any of the regime’s establishments and barricades, walk by cars belonging to it, or move around during working hours of the Capital as of Wednesday morning until further notice.”.
The shelling began at 7:30 am, a time when children leave their house to go to their schools and when employees go to their job. This shows the nature of their crimes, which some regional and Western countries are still suppoting. The Ministry said that these crimes are an extension of other recent barbaric crimes, like the decapitation of the Japanese citizens Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa and the burning of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh. The letters stated that the Syrian government had always warned for this kind of terrorists, who are active in Syria since 2011.
