Real History Revealed: Today Marks The 75th Anniversary Of Operation Barbarossa - Several Perspectives On The German Invasion Of Russia, And My Take

Being a true student of REAL history, I have long searched for the real history behind the most brutal conflict in human history, which was of course the Second World War of 1939-1945.... One major aspect of that conflict that I touched upon in previous articles has been of course the REAL reasons for Adolf Hitler's attack on the Soviet Union which happened exactly 75 years ago today... That attack was code named "Operation Barbarossa" and even to this day there are many who do not understand the real reasons for that invasion that led to Germany's eventual defeat... I of course want to present the facts here for everyone to see for themselves...To mark the 75th anniversary of Barbarossa,  I want to present the following link to an article from Russia Insider, at www.russia-insider.com, that gives the Russian and Soviet perspective of that German assault... I have that article link right here for everyone to see and read for themselves... It contains some truthful information and yet does not contain some of the real factors behind the reasons for Germany's ill fated attack.... I have some of those facts and my own thoughts and comments to follow:  http://russia-insider.com/en/barbarossa/ri15045NTS Notes:  I noticed in this article where the author claims that any sites that state the German attack of June 22nd, 1941 was "defensive" to be preposterous... And the author claims that Germany launched the attack to be the "predominant world power"... To me, these claims themselves are absolutely ridiculous and I will explain why....I am one that am not sold on the idea that Germany attacked the Soviet Union as a means of conquering the Soviet Union at all, but indeed was done as a preemptive strike to prevent Stalin's own plans for the conquering of Europe.. Germany did not have the manpower, the weapons, or even the means for a full conquering of the much larger Soviet Union at all, and therefore there was most definitely another reason for Hitler's Barbarossa strike.  To show evidence that Germany did indeed attack the Soviet Union as a defensive measure and actually a "preemptive strike" to smash Stalin's own attempt at invasion of Europe, I want to present the following link to an article from the Journal Of Historical Review website, that brings evidence to support my long claims that Barbarossa was indeed a defensive operation... Here is that link to that article for everyone to see for themselves, and I have further thoughts and comments to follow:http://www.vho.org/GB/Journals/JHR/16/6/Bishop22.htmlNTS Notes:  Here it is in a nutshell... Josef Stalin was indeed building up a large invasion force with a massive array of weaponry for his planned assault on Europe for July 5th, 1941... That strike was code named "Operation Thunderbolt" as shown by the "Icebreaker" revelations.....Adolf Hitler was well aware of Stalin's plans for invasion of Europe through his own agents and recon missions over the western Soviet Union during the first half of 1941.... He therefore began his own buildup of forces and was preparing Barbarossa as again a "pre-emptive" strike to foil Stalin's plans....It is a FACT that the Soviet forces that the German's encountered during the first part of Barbarossa were very much OFFENSIVE forces and there was not one shred of any defensive forces or barriers to be found anywhere... The fact is that Hitler planned his assault for the time when the Soviets were moving their offensive forces forward to their forward starting positions for their own offensive... It is a fact that during that transition, any force involved is actually at its weakest, and this was the perfect time for the Germans to launch their assault on these ill-prepared forces....Then we have the fact that the Germans captured millions of men plus thousands upon thousands of military hardware that was jammed into the western part of the Soviet Union right up to the German border.. If these forces were indeed "defensive" then by simple logic they should have been in defensive positions in depth and not in forward positions at all!  This again leads to the fact that they were indeed being planned for offensive operations only....Yes, the "Icebreaker" revelations that have come out of Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union show that Stalin was indeed planning his own invasion of Europe... The facts are that Hitler wrecked these plans, and by his invasion actually saved (or delayed) much of Europe from being subjugated to Soviet domination.....Barbarossa was in fact the greatest military victory in the history of the entire world.....Is it not amazing that our so called "history" books never discuss these factors when they talk about "Barbarossa"?Yes, the Russian-German conflict from June 22nd 1941 until May 8th 1945 was brutal and cost the lives of millions of innocent civilians as well as military personnel.....But considering how much we have all been brainwashed by the lies put forward by our "history books", it is time the real facts about that conflict and how it originated be told...More to comeNTS
