Eric Draitser of StopImperialism.com appears on RT (May 29, 2015) to discuss the FIFA corruption scandal and the reelection of FIFA President Sepp Blatter. Draitser explains that the entire issue os one of politics and the geopolitical agenda of the US and its Western allies. He notes the conspicuous timing of the indictments against top FIFA officials which coincided with a vite to potentially ban Israel from FIFA, as well as the often cited warm relations between Blatter and Russian President Putin. Draitser further adds that the politicization of the story highlights the hypocrisy of Western leaders whose own histories of corruption and political demagogy are well documented.
