A small car rammed into a police vehicle in the heart of Paris this afternoon.
The attack which took place on the historic Champs-Elysees was loaded with explosives and firearms according to French police.
This could be a likely cause of why the car exploded upon impact with the police vehicle.
The suspect is thought to have died on impact.
