Also worth mentioning this October 12/19 (hattip Abdullah for reminding me):Turkey, Russia, Iran agree to use local currencies in trade
The three countries agreed that the U.S. dollar should not be used for trade, Hemati said. He added that transactions will be made over designated currency exchange rates.
Arab League Condemns Turkey’s Syria Incursion, Calls for UN Action
Arab League foreign ministers condemned Turkey's military incursion into northern Syria. The League's secretary general, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said the group is calling on the U.N. Security Council to take action against Turkey. At a meeting Saturday in Cairo, Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit called Turkey’s military action an "invasion" and an "aggression" against an Arab state.
The Arab League. What a bunch of hypocrites! Deceitful, double dealing, dishonest and two face. Since when has the Arab League concerned itself with Syria's well being?
"Turkey's naked military aggression on northeast Syria," he said,"represents a threat to the sovereignty of all Arab states and exploits chaos in the country to flout all international norms and destabilize the region."
Seriously? As the Saudi's and Egyptians have been happily arming the PKK alongside their American/Israeli/UK/French conspirators. As they themselves conspired to destroy Syria! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The media is spinning this as intentional. I have questions. And doubts. Serious doubts.1- Did this happen as it is being spun by the media? 2- The US claimed to have withdrawn, so, why would their be any soldiers in harms way?3- Why is the US occupying Syria? The million dollar question that is rarely if ever asked.4- Why are they fighting alongside Kurdish proxies? Known terrorists. 5- Did Turkey really know, with certainty, the US soldiers were present? The entire claim about this incident originates with an unnamed source. The US forces were to have withdrawn in order to “green light” the Turkish entry. Why would Turkey assume they were still present? It’s also being claimed Turkey was given the location of the US soldiers down to ‘explicit grid coordinates”- I’m not believing that! Why would they share such coordinates when they were to have withdrawn? Bottom line, I’m not buying this latest dramatic episode at all. Wondering if this is being concocted so the US can justify their soldiers placement openly alongside the Kurdish terrorists? Here are the reports:Explosion near U.S. military outpost in SDF-controlled Ayn al Arab ( Kobani )- U.S. official Ayn al Arab as it is officially known was renamed by the occupiers to Kobani- I use Ayn al Arab first.
An explosion occurred near a U.S. military outpost in northern Syria on Friday, but no U.S. personnel were injured, Reuters reported, citing an unnamed U.S. official. The official said the source of the explosion near Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)-controlled Kobani was unclear but it came as Turkey wages an offensive in northeast Syria.
Source of the explosion, UNCLEAR.
Newsweek was the first to report the incident. It said that U.S. troops in Ayn al arab (Kobani) had been caught up in Turkey’s shelling. The news came hours after Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in a news briefing at Pentagon that Turkey was informed about the positions of all U.S. troops in Syria.“The Turkish military is fully aware - down to explicit grid coordinate detail - of the locations of U.S. forces,” Milley said.Turkey deliberately shelled the area to drive U.S. forces out, said Josie Ensor, a reporter for Telegraph, citing a U.S. official.

Turkish troops shelled a US Special Forces unit in northern Syria on Friday, apparently 'by mistake', as they moved in on Kurdish fighters days after President Trump said he would remove American soldiers from the region. No one was injured and the artillery fell several hundred meters from where the US troops were stationed, according to CNN. The Pentagon has not yet commented.

A contingent of U.S. Special Forces was caught up in Turkish shelling against U.S.-backed Kurdish positions in northern Syria, days after President Donald Trump told his Turkish counterpart he would withdraw U.S. troops from certain positions in the area. A senior Pentagon official said shelling by the Turkish forces was so heavy that the U.S. personnel considered firing back in self-defense.
Newsweek has learned through both an Iraqi Kurdish intelligence official and the senior Pentagon official that Special Forces operating on Mashtenour hill in the "majority-Kurdish" ( I don't think so, at least not till the US ethnic cleansing began) city of Ayn al Arab Kobani fell under artillery fire from Turkish forces conducting their so-called "Operation Peace Spring" against Kurdish fighters backed by the U.S. but considered terrorist organizations by Turkey. No injuries have been reported.
