Dear Vice-Chancellor Grant,
I write in full and heartfelt support of all that Dr. Vacy Vlazna has written in her open letter to you regarding Victoria University’s hosting of a talk last week by Israeli soldiers. I was not aware of this talk or of Victoria University having been degraded to the ranks of paid apologists for the state of Israel and its crimes against law and humanity. However, I am very much aware of how this nefarious and insidious system of Israeli, Zionist propaganda operates.
I cannot excuse you, on the grounds of possible ignorance, even though I myself was at one time deceived about the nature of the Israel-Palestine ‘conflict’, for that was a very long time ago when I was a naïve young man living in the cloud of systematic, media-driven deceit. I owe a great debt, not to Vacy herself but to a few like her of long ago, who helped me to find the way to discover the truth and reality that was for many years hidden from me by just the sort of deceit that your University, under your watch, has engaged in here. Today, there is no excuse and I will not excuse you.
The truth of Israel, the Racist ‘Jews only State’, in long-standing and gross violation of International Law, engaged in an obvious, illegal occupation, land theft and ethnic cleansing, guilty of the most heinous of crimes against other human beings and humanity at large, of genocide and unimaginable, hateful cruelty is quite accessible and obvious. To anyone with the most meagre ration of wit it should be inescapable.
The machine rolls forward over the destruction of human aspirations to a peaceful, harmonious world founded on morality, reason, mutual respect and value for human life and the light of human reason, leaving behind it a trail of suffering and death, triumphant, fanatical Jewish ‘settlers’ dancing on the rubble of the homes of people whom they hold in contemptuous regard as ‘snakes’, celebrating self-obsession and the success that comes of all the worst imaginable means applied; a world of covetous greed, fanaticism and hate under cloak of bought-and-paid-for deception.
I owe a great debt to people the likes of Dr Vaxy Vlazna. I have immense respect for her courageous intellect and commitment to human decency and that better, more honest world. I strongly recommend that you absorb her words with the gravest of attention.
