Weinstein was carrying book that was a biography of Elia Kazan, a 1950s movie director who gave up eight names of other members of the Communist party when he testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee. The current speculation is that carrying this book was a veiled threat by Weinstein that he, also, may identify others who are involved in sex crimes.
