Message in A Massacre: US attack on Syrian Allied Forces

Yes, the US attack on Syrian forces and their allies was message delivered by means of a massacre!  As I'd noted in yesterday's post the US was employing language that can only be described as F. U. messages.

 From yesterday's post relinked below; It's pretty obvious that tensions are escalating in Northern Syria.  The US has sent an undeniable F U message to Turkey.  I personally can't interpret this latest report any other way.

 Clear, concise, aggressive and boastful.

Yesterday:  US Special Forces "Very Proud" of Occupying Syria- Blunt Warning to Turkey

“We’re very proud of our positions here, and we want to make sure everybody knows it,” said Maj. Gen. Jamie Jarrard, Gen. Paul Funk, elaborated. “You hit us, we will respond aggressively. We will defend ourselves.”

The result of this bravado? ( Bravado: a bold manner or a show of boldness intended to impress or intimidate.)

Earlier today: US Kills More Then 100 Syrian Fighters ( SAA or allies, I'm unsure)

 The US is claiming it was self defense. That's absurd. I'm supposed to believe their fairy tale, that goes like this: 100's of SAA and allies, with their tanks and mortars begain attacking SDF headquarters becoming fully engaged with SDF and coalition forces resulting in the injury of only one SDF ally. Just one lone injury in the SDF. Zero coalition injuries. But possibly more then 100 SAA allies killed during this all out battle

"The US said that around 500 pro-regime troops, backed by tanks and artillery, had launched what appeared to be coordinated attack on an SDF headquarters"

"We estimate more than 100 Syrian pro-regime forces were killed while engaging SDF and coalition forces," a US military official said.

 Here's the reported lone injury of this all out battle in which SDF and US engaged in with SAA allies.Defense Post

Coalition service members were co-located with the SDF at the time, but none were injured. One SDF member was injured

I'm suggesting the US intentionally massacred these fighters. This is not the first time the US has done such a thing. In Syria. Or in other parts of the world for that matter. And there is NO deconfliction zone in that area. I've written previously on that subject, so no need to repeat it.Xinhua:

According to the statement, a pro-government militia unit on Wednesday conducted a reconnaissance and search operation in the vicinity of an oil refinery in the province of Deir al-Zour to identify and destroy a bandit group responsible for shelling government troop positions.

However, during the mission, the Syrian militiamen were subjected to sudden shelling from mortars and multiple launch rocket systems and then came under fire from helicopters of the U.S.-led coalition, the statement said.

 That explains the mass casualties on the SAA allied side and the non existent injuries on the Coalition/SDF side. The US and their terror allies have sent a loud and clear message to all parties concerned.

We're staying put and are willing to escalate

* France 24:

The official said the pro-regime troops were in a large formation supported by artillery, tanks, multiple-launch rocket systems and mortars, and that 20 to 30 artillery and tank rounds landed within some 550 yards (500 metres) of the SDF headquarters.Several US officials said no Americans were injured or killed in the attack by the pro-regime forces, but one SDF member was wounded. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss preliminary details of the attack.In response to the attack, officials said the Syrian Democratic Forces supported by the coalition targeted the pro-government troops with a combination of air strikes and artillery rounds. Any of the attacking vehicles and personnel who turned around and headed back west were not targeted, the military official said.The Kurdish-led SDF, aided by coalition support, are battling Islamic State (IS) group militants east of the Euphrates River. Syrian government forces are active on the other side of the river around the city of Deir el-Zour.

* Syria needs their resources to rebuild a nation destroyed by the USrael/France/ UK and their Kurdish proxies;

"The incident underscores the potential for further conflict in Syria’s oil-rich east, where the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias holds swathes of land after its offensive against Islamic State"

* It's possible Russian advisers or mercenaries were embedded with these forces:

 "U.S.-led coalition forces are looking into whether Russian contractors were involved in an attack against Syrian Democratic Forces on Wednesday"

* US Presence in Syria is the Hurdle to Peace

“The U.S. illegal armed presence in Syria remains a serious challenge to the progress towards peace in Syria and the preservation of its unity and territorial integrity,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zaharova told a press conference."

* US and France considering new military strikes against Syrian government

The US is considering new military strikes against Syrian government positions, and France is keen to support the operation, diplomatic sources have told MEE.Faced with what looks like a stagnant peace process – recent talks in Vienna and Sochi achieved little – and with an increase in violence on the ground, some in the US administration are “keen to take a tougher line on Russia in Syria,” according to a diplomatic source close to the Syrian opposition.The new stance comes as US-led coalition forces on Wednesday night killed at least 100 government and allied fighters in response to an attack on US allies in eastern Syria.But the planned US-French action would likely, at least ostensibly, be in response to the ongoing use of chemical weapons in Syria, with new chlorine attacks reported over recent weeks.

* Mattis admits no chemical attack proof

Lost in the hyper-politicized hullabaloo surrounding the Nunes Memorandum and the Steele Dossier was the striking statement by Secretary of Defense James Mattis that the U.S. has “no evidence” that the Syrian government used the banned nerve agent Sarin against its own people.

This assertion flies in the face of the White House (NSC) Memorandum which was rapidly produced and declassified to justify an American Tomahawk missile strike against the Shayrat airbase in Syria.

Mattis offered no temporal qualifications, which means that both the 2017 event in Khan Sheikhoun and the 2013 tragedy in Ghouta are unsolved cases in the eyes of the Defense Department and Defense Intelligence Agency.
