“The purpose of the delegation is to discuss global matters in general and complex issues of the Middle East in particular. We will also highlight the risks and obstacles faced by NATO and world security, especially now that we are all under the threat of terror,” said the statement on Friday.
The delegation includes members of the parliamentary security and defense committees under the supervision of Deputy Parliament Speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammed.
The three-day conference, to begin May 16, will be led by NATO’s top agencies. Iraq’s deputy parliament speaker is expected to deliver a speech on the security crisis in the Middle East and the issue of terror that jeopardize Iraq and the region.
