Trump did two things to infuriate his critics on Saturday. He sat during the second half of the Army-Navy football game with Lt Colonel Ollie North of Iran Contra fame. And he appointed EXXON-Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State. The latter’s major qualification apart from impressing Trump in two interviews is that he has the best friendship with Vladimir Putin of any American. Jennifer Rubin, the Zionist blogger at the Washington Post suggested Tillerson was Putin’s choice.
Trump has been making lots of late night calls to Asia and to Russia. If it is 2 AM at Trump Tower, it is 9 AM in Moscow. Trump can call after midnight to talk to CEOs in Tokyo before they go home for the day. One of those Japan calls resulted in a promise of 50,000 high tech jobs and $50 billion in investments from one Japanese CEO.
Unfortunately for the Mainstream press, Trump does not seem to sleep very much. Psychologists say that those who dream less need less sleep and are less strained by the demands made for conscious rational thought which are rested when we dream.
Trump’s main focus is to create jobs. To do that he needs to cut the cost of government to pay for those tax cuts. US corporations have at least $2 trillion stashed in Caribbean banks waiting for Trump’s tax cut to be repatriated. Trump needs the capital and the jobs. FOXCONN could start manufacturing Apple iPhones in America.
The US spends more in Defense in 6 weeks than Russia does in a year. We have costly programs that don’t work. The F-35, the F-22, the Gerald R Ford aircraft carrier and the Navy’s littoral class combat ships are costly failures. None of them are deployable. And they will endanger the lives of our men in the frontlines of combat. None of our recent Presidents cared whether or not the money we spent on defense was either stolen or just wasted. But they still demanded that our troops be willing to die in wars for Israel and the Banks.
We have a million civilian DOD employees and hundreds of overseas bases. We won’t miss most of them when they go. DHS and other agencies also have lots of programs and employees including contractors to cut. Global warming has to go along with energy grants to play for pay donors. These cuts will not harm our nation but they will pay for the tax reform we need to create jobs.
Tillerson can deliver the peace dividend Trump needs to make the savings for his tax cuts. Tillerson has also been an outspoken opponent of anti-Russian sanctions. Ending sanctions will help trade which also will create jobs in the US, Europe and Russia.
The problem is that Israel sees Trump’s stance against Iran as an in road to formulating a joint US-Israeli policy against Iran and Hezbollah. The other danger is that candidate Trump did not seem to realize how formidable an opponent Iran and Hezbollah would be.
The Jerusalem Post said Hezbollah and their allies have 150,000 missiles. Yes, that would include short range rockets with no guidance systems. But then rockets fired at short range don’t need guidance systems. Hezbollah fighters could fire away coming out of tunnels at close proximity to targets inside Israel and the Golan Heights. Hezbollah has had 10 years to work at expanding their network of tunnels since the 2006 Lebanon war. That was a disaster for the Israelis. But most of those missiles will serve as decoys so the more advanced ones can get through Israeli defenses.
Hezbollah supporters in Syria have joined the Syrian National Guard and have access to rockets in areas near the Israeli border. And Iran has intermediate range missiles with Mach 3 speed and 725 Kg (1,598 pound) warheads.
The Jerusalem Post which strongly supports Netanyahu is alarmed that Syria has been receiving even more guided missiles with 450 kg (992 pound) warheads. Iran has been mass producing fuel air explosives. They are deadly. Explosives and fires require oxygen. Conventional bombs are packed with oxygenates so they can explode on impact. A fuel air explosive has no oxygenates. It takes oxygen from the surrounding air as the name implies. It has a blast area several times larger as a conventional bomb. And because it burns up the surrounding oxygen it kills everyone within a half mile or so radius.
The Israelis say that since the nuclear accord with Obama and the Europeans, the Iranians have increased their military budget by 90%. And they might have doubled their $200 million annual aid to Hezbollah. Hezbollah has also been receiving weapons in exchange for volunteers in the Syrian war. They have received Russian T-72 tanks.
American M113 Armored Personnel Carriers showed up at a recent Hezbollah parade. General Michel Aoun was elected President of Lebanon in October. He can send even more arms to his major ally Hezbollah. The General is a Lebanese Catholic but sides with Hezbollah and Iran against Israel. The Israelis expect him to forward even more military aid to Hezbollah. This is understandable. General Wesley Clark said the Pentagon was told to invade 7 Muslim nations including Lebanon, Syria and Iran. General Clark also said Al Qaeda and ISIS were recruited and armed to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hezbollah will need APCs and tanks to fight terrorists in the streets and hills of Lebanon. But those would be worthless against Israel.
Hezbollah is likely receiving more guided missiles capable of hitting Tel Aviv and Haifa. Haifa has so many chemical and refinery targets that the town could easily be burned to the ground. Hezbollah alone could take out the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv. Hezbollah has used drones to map targets inside Israel. They can shut down the Israeli electrical power grid for 6 months.
But Hezbollah will need Iranian and Russian permission to take down that leaky nuclear reactor at Dimona which is less than 230 air miles from Beirut.
By the time Trump becomes President, I would hope he is briefed on the realities on the ground. The US could not survive a war with Iran and Hezbollah.
Iran could wipe out the entire US Central Command with rocket attacks on our bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and even Turkey. Of course the US Persian Gulf fleet would be gone in less than 120 seconds. Iran has enough drones and fast boats armed with missiles to take out our ship radar and electronics in the first 20 seconds making them defenseless against hundreds of incoming missiles and torpedoes over the next 45 seconds. And then what is left of our ships would be hit by Iranian rocket artillery with 130 mile (210 Km) range and a 1,322 pound (600 Kg) warheads. Thousands of fast boats would take any survivors prisoner. Tens of thousands of well armed volunteers would go on a ground offensive against American and NATO troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
No attack against Iran will be possible without paying a price we cannot afford to pay. The US military will not allow any President to start a war we cannot win. They still remember Vietnam and the disaster that is the “War on Terror.” The military is beginning to realize that latter was nothing but an unending war against Israel’s enemies real or imagined.
The Trump Presidency desperately needs a peace dividend and budget cuts to fraud and kick backs to donors to pay for those promised job creating tax incentives.
We currently are experiencing sucker’s rallies in the stock exchange and in the US dollar’s exchange rate, but we will soon be hit by an exploding Debt Bomb. It could start in Italy where the banks are on thin ice and spread to France and Germany where their banks are in far worse shape than ours.
I am not worried about any war plans in 2018 and beyond. The Dollar will die before then. I would expect the US military will be too busy trying to enforce martial law after the Nationwide Food Riots, which will begin the Day the Dollar Dies, for them to even think of fighting foreign wars for either Israel or the Bankers.
