Guillermo is joined by journalist and documentary filmmaker, Vivien Lesnik Weisman. We discuss Vivien’s upcoming film The Hacker Wars (previously titled The Reality Wars), including the individual cases of Andrew “Weev” Auernheimer, Barrett Brown, and the recently sentenced Jeremy Hammond.
We go into detail on the Hammond case and review Jeremy’s path from Chicago-based activist to enemy of the state and political prisoner. We discuss the importance of Hammond’s “epic hack,” what the public learned as a result, and what made him such a threat to the establishment.
