British Journalist, Author Patrick Seale passes away

London, (SANA) British journalist and author Patrick Seale passed away Friday after a long struggle with cancer.
Seale who showed special interest in the Middle East affairs, was considered one of the prominent supporters to the Palestinian Cause as he considered it as “the cornerstone of the Arab dignity and Identity.”
He has criticized Arab rich countries for not pressuring the US and Europe to achieve justice for the Palestinians , asserting the solution calls for the two states has practically foiled.
Seale stressed that Israel is seeking a military hegemony on the region, asserting that it is pressuring the US for foiling the resistance axis.
He reiterated that what is going on in Syria cannot be separated from developments in the region.
Seale a British author, journalist and consultant, has worked as a foreign correspondent in many parts of the world for Reuters and for the British dilies of Sunday and the Observer.
He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford (BA and MA), and St Antony’s College, Oxford (D.Litt), where he was elected a Senior Associate Member.
His books include: The Struggle for Arab Independence: Riad el-Solh and the Makers of the Modern Middle East, 2010. (This book won the 2010 award of the British Society for Middle East Studies (BRISMES).
