Not so fast, gents. You aren't by chance transacting this transaction on the Sabbath, are you? For shame!by KenYou've probably heard this story, but I wanted to make sure. It's about the observant Jewish drug dealers in Brighton Beach who warned their customers via text that their business shut down every Friday evening and daytime Saturday.

Israel is believed to have secretly built up its own stockpile of chemical and biological weapons decades ago, reports Foreign Policy, citing a recently unearthed CIA document.
The entire world breathes a sigh of relief, except for Israel. Jerusalem Post has an article which expresses disappointment. Yup, who cares if the the population of the planet has said NO to war. For Israel a possible Syrian deal that would prevent war is ‘More bad then good for Israel” Exclamation marks denote my exasperation with Israeli spin, lies, propaganda and incessant warmongering !!!Excerpt
Boehner and Cantor and the rest of the sorry GOP congressional conservative mainstream are holding a tiger by the tail-- and the tiger is hungry. They've talked so much about repealing ObamaCare that the drooling imbeciles they helped elect as Republicans last year think its real. So the House leadership tried throwing them a bone... and they threw it back. Boehner and Cantor have to pass a government funding bill this week.

In naval warfare, a “false flag” refers to an attack where a vessel flies a flag other than their true battle flag before engaging their enemy. It is a trick, designed to deceive the enemy about the true nature and origin of an attack.
In philosophy circles, bullshit is a technical term denoting a claim which is presented as “fact” although its veracity has not been established. The truth value of bullshit is largely irrelevant to its propagators. Bullshit is disseminated in the service of particular ends, typically opaque to the audience. There is no better description for the Obama Administration’s case for intervention in Syria.

Obama’s empty claims against Syria “imperial hubris” – Rick Rozoff
October 15 is the date of the special election primary for MA-05, Ed Markey's former House seat. EMILY's List is pushing hard to elect a conservative Democratic woman, as always, this one best known as the chief sponsor of a bill to allow more warrantless domestic spying in Massachusetts.
Though I haven’t posted for a while, I’ve done quite a bit of work on climate recently, though it hasn’t been the sort of work that lends itself readily to blog posts.
I have been writing about a potential war against Iran and Syria for several years even though I have always said there would be no war as most have imagined it would be. I have noted with interest the resistance of the US military to the suicidal warmongering of the Bankers who think they own the government.

Citing a “potential positive development” in the Russian proposal regarding Syrian chemical weapons stockpile, US President Barack Obama has put a temporary break on the express train of war on Syria and, simultaneously, accelerated the White House push for a congressional authorization for a military strike.

In what NPR called “perhaps President Obama’s last best chance” to make his case for launching a war against Syria, the president tellingly didn’t make a single effort to present hard, compelling evidence to prove that Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad had been behind the alleged Sarin Aug. 21 attack on residents of a suburb of Damascus.
Not one piece of evidence.

The White House, in a sad attempt to prove all the international support it has for bombing Syria, released a letter that a couple dozen countries signed onto. The letter (below) condemns the use of chemical weapons and strongly demands action by the UN. The UN is not the US-- and not all "action" is bombing. Here's the statement the 24 countries signed onto:
It is now the 12th anniversary of the Israeli Mossad attack on America known forever as "9-11". It is so astounding that now, 12 years after the fact, that most Americans and still many around the world are under the false believe that this pre-planned and absolutely horrendous attack on the United States was conducted by "19 A-rabs hijacking aircraft using box cutters". I for one have long hoped that America would have finally awakened to the truth that their so called "ally" Israel did the deed....For this article, I want to present the following new report from my friend, Whitewraith

On the 12th anniversary of 9/11, everyone is talking about false-flag operations.
Pat Buchanan, a leading American conservative, says that the Syria chemical weapons incident “reeks of a false flag operation.” Buchanan says he cannot believe that Syrian President Assad would be so stupid as to order a chemical strike with no military purpose except to invite the US to bomb his country.

The violence shifted back east into Diyala province where several bombings targeted civilians. Another family was killed south of the capital where gunmen have taken up storming homes. At least 36 people were killed and 69 more were wounded.
The Senatorial leader of the new antiwar movement takes on Obama’s Syrian war plans:
Twelve years after we were attacked by al-Qaida, 12 years after 3,000 Americans were killed by al-Qaida, President Obama now asks us to be allies with al-Qaida.
Americans by a large majority want nothing to do with the Syrian civil war. We fail to see a national security interest in a war between a leader who gasses his own citizens and Islamic rebels who are killing Christians.

Leader of Exceptional Nation: U.S. Military Doesn’t Do Pinpricks
Rick Rozoff
In his address to the American people, and by its very nature to the world as well as to the city, President Barack Obama delighted in playing the role of the emperor of the first global domain, omniscient and determined and even capricious in regard to the military at his command – the mightiest in the world, the most formidable in history, as he reminded his viewers – and when he will order it to strike Syria.

In an article for the Guardian, John Pilger writes that regardless of diplomatic attempts to delay an attack on Syria, the US objective has nothing to do with chemical weapons and everything to do with wiping out the last independent states in the Middle East.

News Analysis: Despite major risks, Obama to push for Syria strike with nationally televised speech
By Matthew Rusling
WASHINGTON: U.S. President Barack Obama is to push hard for a strike on Syria with a nationally broadcast speech Tuesday, despite experts’ warnings that military action could entangle the U.S. in a no-win situation.
President Obama might have already achieved more for peace and stability in the Middle East than he is actually aware. The public debate on the Syrian Civil War and a possible U.S. strike on the Assad regime has shown that public opinion strongly favors non-interventionism to the neo-conservativism of recent history. More than a decade of warfare and U.S.-led interventions in the Middle East have illustrated that the use of U.S. military in troubled areas does not necessarily lead to stability and peace.
