Eastern Economic Forum opens new chapter in US-Russia dialogue

Presidents of Russia, China, Japan and Mongolia, as well as the prime minister of South Korea all gave keynote addresses, emphasizing the vast potential of the region and the vital role of joint collaboration in its development. By the time the forum was over, a total of 175 deals worth $42 billion had been signed.
In addition to all the business deals, however, another document, a declaration, calling for the urgent expansion of citizen diplomacy in US-Russia relations, and the establishment of a continuous US-Russia youth dialogue, was also inked in Vladivostok.
