Victory Day

75-Year Victory Day celebration over a Russia in quarantine [Video]

One cannot resist thinking that this Victory Day scene is a bit post-apocalyptic. The sight of the yearly military air parade over Moscow was a welcome sight as I watched several formations of fighter planes and a single Tupolev bomber fly over my home in southeastern Moscow. Tuning in to RT’s “Ruptly” service online yielded a video presented here in full:

Vasily Chuikov: Greatest Infantry Combat General of All Time

He won battles on a scale no one else even dreamed of: He developed all the tactics of urban combat war from scratch. He destroyed the most invincible fighting force the human race had seen in 700 years since the days of Genghis Khan and his Mongol hoards. He saved the world from the monstrous darkness of genocidal Nazism. And no one in the West has ever heard of him.

The Heroes of Stalingrad and the Debt We Still Owe Them

February 2 will mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the greatest, longest, most bloody battle in human history: It was a struggle that destroyed the previously invincible spearhead of the Nazi war machine which had conquered all of Europe in only three years and seemed about to conquer the world: Yet incredibly, so far the entire Western media, especially in the United States has completely ignored it.

The Jewish Combat Commander Who Liberated Auschwitz

Retired Red Army Lieutenant Colonel Anatoly Shapiro was proud of his lifetime service in the Red Army: He spent the last years of his life combatting the Big Lie of Holocaust denial by neo-Nazis.
But never in his wildest dreams did Colonel Shapiro imagine that his own contribution to history and that of the entire Red Army in ending the Nazi genocide of the Jewish and Russian peoples would itself be cast into the black hole of denial.

US Billionaire Tries to Nullify Soviet Role in WWII Victory

On May 23rd, Russia’s RT headlined “Soviet Union oddly missing from US-made coin ‘saluting’ WWII Allies” and displayed a private firm’s, the Bradford Exchange’s, “commemorative” “WWII 75th Anniversary 24K Gold-Plated gold-plated” coin, which is being marketed as an ‘investment’, and which on one of its sides shows US Presidents Truman and Eisenhower, and on the opposite side shows the flags of US, Britain, and France.

D-Day… More Drama Than Decisive in World War II Victory

Stealing the laurels of victory was a necessary act of treachery by the Western powers in order to facilitate their Cold War against the Soviet Union. The same treachery continues today as Washington and its NATO allies try to wage a new Cold War against Russia.
US President Donald Trump called it the “greatest battle ever” while attending a 75th anniversary ceremony this week to mark the Western allied invasion of Nazi-occupied France.

Why Russia’s Victory Day Was Crucial for the Survival of ‘European Values’

This is the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Belgium on 18 April 2018. It has been performed every night since 1928 except during the German occupation. What you see above is, as I calculate, the 31,237th performance; at the moment of writing, it has happened another 401 times and will again tomorrow night. Through this gate – much rebuilt – passed the majority of British Empire soldiers in the First World War.
