Meanwhile he's been posting videos each time he gets to a district. He started with Randy Bryce in Wisconsin and then went to Forsyth County, North Carolina to see Jenny Marshall.
I don't have a private jet; never did. But... I sort of did. I was the president of a division of TimeWarner and the company had private jets. All I had to do was call and say I need a jet and I could fly anywhere I wanted. You knowhow many time I did that? Zero, never once. That's because it's incredibly expensive and a horrifying waste of money that could have been spent on helping break out artists (for example).
I hope Jonathan Chait is correct about the GOP tax plan being political suicide... but I'm not as certain as he is. Have you started seeing the ads yet? Millions of dollars of patently fake spots are blanketing TV from coast to coast claiming how fabulous the plan is. There isn't an ounce of truth in them but...
Dana Rohrabacher's district, CA-48, covers 42 miles of coastal Orange County-- the primest of the prime residential real estate in Southern California. It stretches from Seal Beach in the north through Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach down to Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel and Three Arch Bay where Darrell Issa's district starts. It's been a very Republican district for a very long time.

Laura Oatman entered the race to replace Dana Rohrabacher in a district that flipped to the Democrats in 2016-- Hillary beating Trump in CA-48 (coastal Orange County) 47.9% to 46.2%. The 2016 PVI (R+7) is a now more winnable R+4. When we first spoke with Laura she had very high hopes that the Democratic Party, though she recognized it as flawed, would embrace a candidate like herself.

Tomorrow is day one of DCCC candidate Week in which the DC Democratic Party elites invite all their favored candidates and purposely leave out candidates they don't like. But they swear-- and believe it on some delusional level-- that they don't interfere in primaries. The festivities kick off Wednesday with two by-invitation-only events for right-wing Democrats.
