Carlee Russell was charged with two misdemeanors: false reporting to law enforcement authorities and falsely reporting an incident. She was found guilty of the abduction hoax and a judge recommended a year in jail and an $18,000 fine.

The teen’s mother got a phone call from Mexico demanding $500,000 for her son’s safe return. She received a video showing her son in the car. The boy's father was blamed for some past incident and threats of cutting off the boy's body parts were made unless the ransom was paid. The teen was rescued in Santa Maria.

Russell first vanished on the night of July 13, shortly after she phoned police to say she was stopping by the side of the road to rescue a baby she could see crawling along the side of Interstate 459. Two days later she reappeared. She claimed that she was abducted by a white man with orange hair.

Kidnapping victim Elizabeth Smart supported the bill and said “This bill should be passed into law without hesitation. Too many victims fear coming forward and speaking out for fear of their traffickers repercussions.”

They are, in the first place, a legend, which began in the 1980s when a movement to resist the lawlessness left by the collapse of the secular regime was formed by brave, uncorrupt ‘talibs’ like Abdul Salam Zaeef, one of the founders of the Taliban, coined by the BBC in 1994.

The feds pressured transportation companies to not pick up migrants along the way, which forced them to walk through an unsafe area. As many as 20,000 migrants a year are kidnapped and ransomed by criminal gangs, and three out of five women and girls are raped.
