News has emerged of the nature of Donald Trump’s long meeting with Defence Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, in which Trump discussed with his top Generals, the efficacy of a troop surge in Afghanistan.

When Ivanka Trump briefly sat in for her father during a plenary session of the G20 summit in Hamburg she received heavy criticism from the western  mainstream media as well as others who support the Democratic party of Hillary Clinton.
Much of the criticism revolved around the fact that Ivanka Trump’s position in a seat of power (however temporary) at the G20, arose because she is the daughter of the President of the United States.

Donald Trump has come out swinging against those who criticised him for briefly exiting a plenary G20 meeting and leaving his daughter Ivanka to take his place.
While plenary meetings of the G20 generally accomplish little, bilateral meetings, such as that which Trump had with the President of Russia, often achieve something tangible.
