Our review of the State of the Nation speech given by President Vladimir Putin draws to a close. The speech was massive, and there remain in fact areas that we still did not cover that are worth reading in the full speech, linked here. However, insofar as Russian technology meets the world stage, this last area, scientific research and development, is extremely visible and important.

Russian military “accidentally” leaks image of HYPERSONIC 6th-gen fighter [Video]

President Vladimir Putin shocked the Western world into disbelief on March 1st, 2018, when he announced the Russian Federation’s successful development of new, highly advanced hypersonic weapons. That development apparently continues apace, as a new image of what may be Russia’s 6th generation fighter plane was revealed to the world. This plane is also hypersonic.

Expectations have been growing for a new Trump-Putin summit as tensions spike over an outdated Cold War, Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF).
Trump’s National Security Advisor, John Bolton, was recently in Moscow, and relayed to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the White House wanted a Paris meeting. Putin said he was interested in such a meeting.
Both Putin and Trump will be in Paris for the November 11 World War I commemorations, which 60 heads of state and government are expected to attend.

‘Kinzhal’ hypersonic missile successfully launched from Russian bomber

On March 1st, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced to the world that Russia developed hypersonic missile technologies the likes of which the world has never seen. While the initial announcement was viewed with skepticism in the West initially, the US and Western nations military have come to realize this is a real development. The new Russia hypersonic missile program remains in steady development.
