Eastern Economic Forum opens new chapter in US-Russia dialogue

Presidents of Russia, China, Japan and Mongolia, as well as the prime minister of South Korea all gave keynote addresses, emphasizing the vast potential of the region and the vital role of joint collaboration in its development. By the time the forum was over, a total of 175 deals worth $42 billion had been signed.
In addition to all the business deals, however, another document, a declaration, calling for the urgent expansion of citizen diplomacy in US-Russia relations, and the establishment of a continuous US-Russia youth dialogue, was also inked in Vladivostok.

North Korean delegation arrives in Russia, to be joined shortly by South Korean President

Hours after the 9th annual BRICS summit wrapped up in Xiaman, China, delegates from East and South East Asia have begun arriving in the Russian city of Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum. 
The Forum is an event designed to enhance economic partnerships and cooperation between multiple Asian nations including Russia, China, Japan, Vietnam and the Korean states.

Russia, South Korea to sign several agreements before East Economic Forum

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia and South Korea will sign several cooperation agreements during the 16th session of the joint commission on economic, and scientific and technological cooperation on the sidelines of the East Economic Forum, scheduled for early September in the Russian city of Vladivostok, organizers of the forum said on Thursday.
The session will be co-charred by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev and his South Korean counterpart Kim Dong-yeon. Both countries’ officials and businesspeople will take part in the session.
