I have indeed been concentrating so much of my recent reports at this blog over the continuing "hysteria" that has gripped everyone about this COVID-19 "epidemic"..... I have been presenting FACTS and other material at this blog to try to educate everyone and to show that the "sky is falling" boogah boogah that is being pushed by the criminals in both our governments and the liars in the Jew spew media is indeed so badly overblown.... Meanwhile, there has been a LOT of news happening elsewhere that everyone has indeed missed... And of course one of the major news events of the last week has been the continuing battle in northwestern Syria centered on the "Idlib pocket" of so called 'rebel' aka "terrorist" resistance...I will try to summarize what has been happening and to bring some readers "up to speed" in terms of the situation in Idlib.... The Syrian Arabic Army had made phenomenal gains in Idlib province up until the end of last week in offensive operations that had cleared the M5 motorway, and the SAA was beginning to push with operations to clear the M4 motorway as well... However, things did indeed change starting last weekend when Turkey threw their own forces into the mix and with their military material support of the "rebel" forces, they began their own operations to "push back" against the SAA advances, and earlier this week the key city of Saraqib was once again seized by Turkish backed rebel forces.... But over the last few days, the tide had once again turned, and the SAA backed by Russian forces had liberated Saraqib once again and were planning for further operations further south to seize all of the territory right up to the M4 motorway.... The actions being carried out by Turkey did indeed seem to be in "violation" of the "Astana agreements that Turkey had agreed to with Russia back in late 2018, and it caused so many to speculate that Turkey was going to be in a direct state of war against Syria itself, and thus would find themselves also in a state of direct war with Russia...However, earlier today President Vladimir Putin had direct meetings and consultations with Turkish President Erdogan, and apparently they have hammered out a "new" agreement over Idlib that would prevent a direct war between Turkey and Russia, while at the same time go back to the basic terms of the earlier Astana agreements and allow Syria to regain the vital M4 motorway! In fact, my two fellow Canadian real truth seekers, both Penny out of southern Ontario who writes "Penny For Your Thoughts" and of course Greencrow, who hails from the wilderness of southern British Columbia and writes her blog at "Greencrow As The Crow Flies" have already put up their own articles that contains details and their thoughts about this agreement betweeen Erdogan and Putin...For starters, here is the link to the article from Penny's blog for everyone to see for themselves:https://pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.com/2020/03/breaking-russia-and-turkey-agree-on.htmlI have periodically had my differences with Penny, especially recently in interpreting the 'situation' in Syria, but I will give credit where credit is due, for she had told me periodically that Turkey and Russia were still at least "trying" to stay in the 'framework' of the Astana agreements, and apparently rather than start slugging it out, they have indeed gone back to that agreement's terms!And of course, here is the link to the article from Greencrow's blog for everyone to also see for themselves:https://greencrowasthecrowflies.blogspot.com/2020/03/syria-update-urgent.htmlI agree with Greencrow that Putin is once again showing that he is a true 'statesman' and has indeed been willing to sit down with Erdogan in spite of so many out there claiming that Erdogan himself has gone 'rogue' and would never sit down with the Russians.... It is a remarkable piece of true diplomacy for Putin indeed..Well, so what happens now? This newest "ceasefire" will supposedly "take hold" by tomorrow, the 6th of March, and we can all hope that the Turkish backed "rebels" and "terrorists" will obey the terms and actually stop the fighting and allow the Turks and Russians to start patrols along the M4 with the goal being the full restoration of that vital motorway to Syrian government control.... My thoughts are of course as to HOW LONG this newest "ceasefire" will actually stay in place before these "terrorists" do their usual dirty tricks and violate any 'agreements'? And of course during the "respite" of any "ceasefire" we have seen time and time again where these "terrorists" were heavily rearmed and redistributed in the Idlib pocket itself and voila, the fighting starts up again...IMHO, this is a small victory for the SAA in that the vital M4 motorway is "supposed" to be returned to their full control, which was supposed to have been in the works all along as per the Astana agreements.... We shall see if that does happen, for the reality is that the "terrorists" in Idlib can NOT ever be trusted, period..More to comeNTS
