Warming Arctic Causes Arctic Ice Growth- Seriously NASA?

Go back to the post: Propaganda is the Art of Overwhelming Logic And yes, it's relative.

(outlink at above post) Contradictions (A and not-A)In classical logic, the law of non-contradiction (LNC) (also known as the law of contradiction, principle of non-contradiction (PNC), or the principle of contradiction) states that contradictory statements cannot both be true in the same sense at the same time, e.g. the two propositions "A is B" and "A is not B" are mutually exclusive. It is the second of the three classic laws of thought.

Contradictory Statement: Warming Arctic Causes Arctic Ice GrowthWarma: having or giving out heat to a moderate or adequate degree warm weather a warm fireb : serving to maintain or preserve heat especially to a satisfactory degree a warm sweaterc : feeling or causing sensations of heat brought about by strenuous exertion Ice Forms: How does the water freeze?Freezing happens when the molecules of a liquid get so cold that they slow down enough to hook onto each other, forming a solid crystal. Ask a scientist

Liquids boil when their molecules heat up to the point that they start moving so quickly that they can vaporize and turn into a gas. For water, this happens at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Freezing happens when the molecules of a liquid get so cold that they slow down enough to hook onto each other, forming a solid crystal. For pure water, this happens at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

For salt water it's lower.  Recap:When water heats up, molecules speed up,  it forms a gas and vaporizes,When water gets cold, the molecules slow down and form a solid crystal. Therefore: Warming CANNOT create more ice.Contradiction- Warm Arctic Causes Ice to GrowthCognitive Dissonance:

Cognitive dissonance refers to a situation involving conflicting attitudes, beliefs or behaviors. This produces a feeling of mental discomfort leading to an alteration in one of the attitudes, beliefs or behaviors to reduce the discomfort and restore balance. For example, when people smoke (behavior) and they know that smoking causes cancer (cognition), they are in a state of cognitive dissonance.

When you believe that a warming Arctic would increase ice you are in a state of cognitive dissonance as well.  Because that is a contradiction.Geofish :NASA Cracked About Arctic IceHarold should have said NASA was on crack. At least then the irrationality of their contention would be understandable. Not believable, but, understandable..Ice Volume for 2018 is UP and looking to have increased greatly  Thanks Harold!WUWT

“But at the same time that sea ice is vanishing quicker than it has ever been observed in the satellite record, it is also thickening at a faster rate during winter.

This increase in growth rate might last for decades, a new study accepted for publication in Geophysical Research Letters found.

This does not mean that the ice cover is recovering, though. Just delaying its demise.”

Nice spin.. aka perception management “delaying it’s demise” Though it reads as if the ice is recovering, quite a bit. But, let’s not state that, since it doesn't fit the agenda.Even though it's stated “This increase in growth rate could last for decades”Which  must means it’s ‘recovering’Recover:  Make up for a loss : Middle English (originally with reference to health): from Anglo-Norman French recoverer, from Latin recuperare ‘get again’.Warm Arctic, Increased Winter Sea Ice Growth?

These model simulations showed that in the 1980s, when Arctic sea ice was on average 6.6 feet thick in October, about 3.3 extra feet of ice would form over the winter.

That rate of growth has increased and may continue to do so for several more decades in some regions of the Arctic; in the coming decades, we could have an ice pack that would on average be only around 3.3 feet thick in October, but could experience up to 5 feet of ice growth over the winter.

You’re supposed to believe that 5 feet of ice growth could occur in the winter when it’s warmer? And that's not recovering. It's just delaying it's demise for decades. LOL I don’t have cognitive dissonance. I feel no discomfort, while holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously. Nor do I smoke and lie to myself.Obviously. Quite obviously it's colder. Period! From earlier:
