What would have not gone very far if the group had simply told the truth when they created the reports related to the incident and not felt it necessary to continue to perpetuate the lie when questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, this group would have gotten a slap on the wrist, but instead they are going to prison.
The City settled with Harris in November 2016 for $600,000 and in March 2017 he was sentenced to three and half years, through a plea agreement to avoid cost of a criminal trial.
