Bitcoin was blessed in its early days by government officials who figured it was going nowhere. Years went by while it thrived in an atmosphere of benign neglect. That was the source of its rising sophisticated and marketability. Bitcoin didn’t need government to become its champion; Bitcoin needed government to stay out of the way.
