France Reenacts Opening Scene of ‘Force Awakens’ as Storm Troopers Destroy Refugee Camp

The Force Awakens was not supposed to be a video guide on how to run a tyrannical government.
Watch a video of this report here:

France decided to press ahead with the destruction of ‘The Jungle’, a makeshift refugee camp that had grown in the sea port city of Calais over the past few years.
Unfortunately, they did not think it would be a good idea to find another place for the people to go first, so now thousands of people are completely homeless.
Foreign Policy reports that, ‘Paris called the move a humanitarian operation’.
Aid groups, and probably anyone with common sense for that matter, have argued that alternative camps should have been established before demolishing the existing site.
The Refugee Rights Data Project said that 80% of the people in the camp have said that they will stay in Calais even if the camp is destroyed because they have no where else to go.
In what, almost unbelievably, looks like the opening scene from the newest Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, which depicts the central antagonist, Kylo Ren, and a group of storm troopers destroying a camp site, French riot officers have been captured on film doing exactly the same thing:

Shocking similarities, in both imagery and outcome.
The imagery showing The Jungle burning, along with riot officers using water cannons and tear gas against the occupants, is eerily similar to what J.J. Abrams envisioned for the opening scene of the latest episode of the Star Wars saga.
Abrams was obviously looking to establish the new antagonist by creating an opening scene that would highlight Kylo Ren’s ruthlessness, so it is rather concerning to see the French government actually sanctioning a similar course of action in real life. The only real difference is the colour of the storm troopers’ uniforms.
This article originally had a headline, and content, that had absolutely nothing to so with Star Wars, but while writing it and watching the videos of the event I had a strange feeling of dèja vu.
Someone should probably remind the French government that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was not supposed to be a video guide on how to run a tyrannical government.
