US to Cap the Number of Refugee Asylum Seekers to 30,000 in 2019, down by 33% from 2018
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the US will cap the number of refugees allowed into the country at 30,000 for fiscal-year 2019, down from the cap of 45,000 last year. Former President Obama's set the cap limit of 110,000 refugees to be admitted for fiscal year 2017.
