It starts with Barr aspiring to be Trump's new Roy Cohn, a crooked, dirtbag of a lawyer who ended up being disbarred and cementing his reputation of being the epitome of what it means to say "dirtbag lawyer." Barr is a cover-up specialist, the kind of lawyer that all mobster types gravitate to. No stench is too strong. As quoted in the above meme, Laurence Tribe nails it.Barr is an excellent example of what happens when someone's transgressions are ignored or written off; in this case, his role in cover up the Iran-Contra scandal. Barr walked away free and free to spread his slime another day. Because of that, it was only a matter of time before he pushed the envelope further; this time in an assault on whatever's left of American ideals. It was inevitable that he would gravitate to Trump.
