California’s New Soft-on-Crime ‘Racial Justice Act’ Set to Release Dangerous Criminals

California passed the Racial Justice Act in 2020 that allows every felon in prison to retroactively challenge his conviction and sentencing on the ground of systemic bias. If there is a history of a criminal suspects from the past who were prosecuted more harshly than others, a prisoner may be granted a new trial.
